It's hard to think of another writer who's established himself as an essential presence as quickly as you have. Going from being an editorial assistant and contributor at Vanity Fair to an associate editor at The New Republic with a stop off as the definitive Today in Tabs intern, what's it been like to accomplish so much at such a young age?
Ryan, I have no idea. Rusty still owns me on Twitter pretty regularly. Next question.
You wrote a lot of great music reviews during your time at Yale. Do you see yourself writing about music again in the future?
I've actually written about music since then, at Noisey, The New Inquiry, and (once) for Kill Screen (as an intern). But the answer is yes, it's fun and cool to do.
