I thought Drake's Scorpion was dropping June 8, but now I see a sort of general June release date. He did a similar thing with More Life, saying it would be released in December 2016 and then it came out in March 2017. Do you have any ideas about why he does that? Also, what do you think Scorpion will sound like?
I think Drake feeds off the internet hype machine, and for good reason. It's served him right. I feel like I spent the majority of my 20s waiting for Views, and it was well worth it. I'm not quite sure what Scorpion will sound like, but if Nice for What is any indication, I think Drake has settled on his "peak sound" that's filled with hits that fans and Beats 1 eat up.
Any big summer plans?
Prolly gonna fuccgirl at the Hamptons as much as possible. #scorpionszn
What can people expect from your reading?
I've had the privilege of reading at the series a few times, and I tend to read something that reflects my mood during that time period. I guess you can think of them as my mixtape releases. Hint? This one will be my retirement announcement drop.
