You recently worked on GQ's Colin Kaepernick cover story, which was tremendous, and you have been promoted at GQ, so you'll be working on more print stories, which is awesome. I don't really have a question around that, just wanted to say congrats.

I especially enjoy your music writing. You've written great pieces about Future Islands and the Strokes, just to name a few. What's your favorite album of 2017?
Probably Superman by Wednesday Campanella—the record is like J-pop Grimes.
Last year, I asked you your favorite thing about the holiday season and you said "How happy white people are." I hope this question is different enough -- what's your favorite thing to do around the holidays?
I'm not great at it, but I actually like shopping for presents. How is buying this person this thing gonna make them feel? It's such a weird exercise in, like, consumer empathy.
What can people expect from your reading?
I'm gonna guilt people into watching all 18 hours of the Ken Burns Vietnam War doc.
