Your new novel, Where the Dead Sit Talking, is a stunning piece of work. The most accurate blurb I've seen so far is from he Brooklyn Rail, where they called the plot a "hybrid of Dickens and George Saunders." You've been doing a lot of events. Any book tour highlights so far?
Thanks so much, Ryan. The highlight has been free booze.
I'm very excited to have you read because you regularly contribute to NOON, which I think is the best literary magazine of all-time. And also, I've never had someone living in Oklahoma read at the series. What's your favorite thing to do in Oklahoma once the weather gets a little warmer?
Not much. Maybe sit on my deck out back.
What can people expect from your reading?
Geronimo.
