You recently wrote a great piece for the New York Times about Glenn Sorino, the "pied piper of parrots." How did you find out about Glenn?
Thank you! I heard about Glenn through one of his clients. She mentioned to me she hired a 'bird whisperer' and I thought that was great.
You wrote a piece in 2016 about the Jewish fraternity, AEPi. What was your biggest takeaway from working on that story?
That piece was difficult to report at times, and I think my biggest takeaway is to keep reporting and pursuing the story even, and especially when, it gets tough. That sounds very after school special / something my dad would say, but....keep at it!
What can people expect from your reading?
One of my idols is Nora Ephron, who greatly admired Dorothy Parker (same). I've been told I have a mildly witty personality (!!!) so I am working to put that on the page. Of course, it will be nowhere near the wit genius of either Ephron or Parker, but hey.
