What are you working on that you're really excited about?
Right now I'm editing my second novel, which is a complete departure from my first novel and somehow simultaneously exactly the same. I'm very excited about the novel itself, but I'm also very excited about finish it and finding out if people still like my writing.
What's your favorite thing about the fall in L.A.?
Fall in LA is wonderful because, as a child of the midwest, an LA Fall feels like a very gentle summer, never too hot but never too cold. I love to go on stair hikes in the Fall, and because the protagonist in my new novel has a job where she helps create urban hikes for an app, I can say that these hikes are "research."
