RS: Your new play FIVE TIMES IN ONE NIGHT has been getting great reviews and was recently featured in New York Magazine's to-do list. What's the experience of opening the play been like for you?
CA: Overwhelming, and exciting!!! Also stressful! It's funny trying to get non-theater audiences to come see a play. Lots of people don't really like or go to theater!! So I find myself sort of being like, "No, it's funny and short, I promise! And there's a bar in the elevator!" Convincing people to be not scared of theater is like my life mission. One person at a time!
You recently announced that you and Katie Heaney will no longer be roommates in April. How has Twitter been handling the news?
Honestly, I expected a bit more of an outpouring.
What can people expect from your reading on Saturday?
Well, it's not going to be me, it's going to be two actors! Which will be a fun for people, I hope. A short scene about a couple waiting in line at the Apple Store, going over their birth control options.
