Basically every cool band or musician that I know about is because I became a huge fan of Rawkblog in 2010 and I've been following your writing every since. You were at the forefront of curated playlists and have just generally always had fantastic taste in music. How did Rawkblog first get started and what's it like to be one of the original Taste Makers?
That's very kind of you! I was just following in the footsteps of blogs such as You Ain't No Picasso. I was writing for my college paper at the time and wanted more space to tell people about bands they hadn't heard of yet and it seemed like the thing to do. Then it became an obsession/part-time job. I am relieved now that I'm a tired dad that there are sites like Gold Flake Paint around to tell me about the good new bands.
