A Brief Interview with Elijah Newman

Your short film Radio Kill is funny and meditative while also having a completely unique tone. How did you first come up with the idea?

I was driving one morning while listening to Bikini Kill on max volume and narrowly averted a car crash. 

One of the producers on your film, Waylon Sall, is a big Clippers fan. Do you have a favorite NBA team or a favorite team in a different sport? No worries if not, this is an art event not a sports one.

I don’t really have a team, I just like watching a good, fair game where everyone shares the ball equally and treats each other with the respect they deserve. 

Thanksgiving is coming up. What are you thankful for this year and/or what’s your favorite dish?  

I'm thankful for Advil PM. I like to put the gravy on the stuffing.
