What are you working on that you're really excited about?
I’m working with some Colombian female writers on a Spanish translation of about 30 of my poems collected from my books. I got to read in Bogota earlier this year which was amazing and inspired me to try and push my books further beyond the United States.
Is there a live show or TV show or music album or movie or book you've recently especially enjoyed?
TV show: The Affair, the writing is incredible.
Book: My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout. (She wrote Olive Kitteridge, but had never read her). I just grabbed the book on a whim while in Europe and read it in 24 hours.
Music: I just saw War On Drugs at Hollywood Bowl, they played for two hours, which most bands these days could never do. Was so good.
What's something you like or dislike about autumn?
I like that we at least get one or two rainy days in LA in the autumn. I miss the rain.
