Do you have one or more New Year's Resolutions? If so, please share it/them as it/they may inspire others.
I don't make New Year's resolutions, but at 1:30am New Year's Eve—or New Year's Day, I guess—I was reading the internet on my phone in bed, and tweeted some goals that I still feel good about the morning after: stay employed, keep writing, read more books, get my dog ok [he's rude], see friends more, be a real hardcore social justice warrior.
What are you working on in 2017?
Mostly the above goals. In 2016 I started a full-time job—my first in maybe eight years—so I'm still figuring out where writing fits into that editing job. So I guess I'm working on keeping my ears and eyes open for things to write about.
What can people expect from your reading?
I'm not sure what I'm reading yet, but I write about things that I love—weird recipes or weird old halls in museums or, most recently, a podcast I really love—so you can expect intense enthusiasm about something you might never have heard about before, hopefully at least somewhat contagious. But it'll probably be about podcasts, advice, empathy, and furries.
