You're the lead singer of my favorite band, The Teles. Is another reunion show in the works?

So this is tough because The Teles proper, i.e., before any reunion shows, ceased to be a band in 2004. Which means that we'd still be playing songs that we wrote when we were (very early) in high school. Fifteen years later. I get that Blink 182 can still sing about their middle school breakups even though they are like divorced with kids, but isn't there something off-putting about it? Do they have the same fans, or is it current teenagers listening to them now, un-ironically? That being said, when was the last time Billy Joel released a new album? If he can do it, I'm confident The Teles can. (This is a joke, did that come across?).

Your piece about fluorescent lighting is one of the funniest things I've ever read. Do you still have a copy of that? Could you send it to me? No worries if you don't, I've lost all of that stuff.

I do! But it's a real, paper copy in one of the ECA Lit mags and it's in my parents house somewhere. I will photocopy it and send it to you in the mail in keeping with the customs of 2002.

What can people expect from your reading?

Laura and I just had our first baby last year, so I sort of had to write about it because I haven't done anything else for 13 months.
