I really enjoyed the work you did at TLDR. Did you have a good time while you were there?
I did have a good time hosting TLDR! I've always thought I had a pretty annoying voice, but I quickly fell in love with the sound of my own prattling. I reallllllllly liked interviewing people and wearing headphones and writing the kind of decisive conclusions that are easier to say than to read (I think). And I miss how heavy all the doors at WNYC were. So heavy, no need to go to the gym.
You ran a Fake Jeopardy! Interview Intros tumblr account back in 2011. My favorite was "Trudie, it says here that you live alone in an apartment in Detroit with hundreds of chia pets. Do they all have names?" Do you have any plans to revive this Tumblr?
I don't really have any plans to revive that old Tumblr, but this question does play into my long standing fear: "Oh shit oh shit oh shit, was I way funnier in 2011??" There is a small pet cemetery of Tumblrs I started and then abandoned from that time period, about everything from sports to Ruth Madoff to who did the voiceover in various commercials, but now that I am freelance writer with all the time in the world and not a harried editorial assistant, I don't make them anymore. Hmm, okay, new answer: maybe.
