You've written about music for Rolling Stone, the New York Times, Pitchfork and the Village Voice, just to name a few places. Do you find that your approach to writing varies a great deal depending on the publication or is it pretty consistent from place to place?
The approach is usually the same, just the language can be slightly different. I didn't know that I had been published by Slate until I read your question and googled. It seems that they reprinted something I put together for New York and never told me or compensated me. So I deleted both Slate and New York as a minor if petty act of revenge.
You were in a band with Sarah Madges. Are there bandcamp links or YouTube things I could share?
No Bandcamps or YouTubes, just some bootleg mp3s from our final show. Plus a few pics of me taking my shirt off onstage.
What can people expect from your reading?
Me taking my shirt off onstage.
