You write really great pieces for Paste, often about stuff like how Crashing sucks. I genuinely like Crashing, but even if I didn't, I'd probably pretend I did (but I swear I really do like it, ask my roommate). My question, though, is why don't you just pretend you like everything so it's easier to staff up later in your career?

First of all, Crashing sucks. Secondly, I'm not shooting to write for TV anytime soon. Should that change, my first call will probably be to one or five of my comedian friends who I imagine will all have their own shows in due time, which I will definitely not trash in the hallowed pages of Paste Magazine. Thirdly, if I get blacklisted from TV because Judd Apatow and/or Pete Holmes didn't like my Crashing take, then I would not have lasted very long in that industry anyway.

What do you think is going to be The Song of the Summer?

Is there a new HAIM song? Probably the new HAIM song. I don't listen to HAIM I like saying HAIM.

What can people expect from your reading?

Probably I will read some poems.
